Energize Themes was originally launched in August 2005 as Joomladesigns.co.uk — one of the early commercial Joomla template shops, started in the UK to make professional, high-quality templates that anyone could pick up and customize. The site has been releasing templates for the award-winning Joomla content management system.

In May of 2026 Energize Themes was acquired by Cybersalt Consulting Ltd., a Canadian-based Joomla consulting and development company that has been working with Joomla since the very first releases. Cybersalt also acquired VirtuemartTemplates.net at the same time, runs the Basic Joomla Tutorials YouTube channel featuring training, live streams, interviews, and all things Joomla-related, and handles support and ongoing development for the PHP-Web-Design.com family of Joomla extensions. The same template catalog you've always relied on at Energize Themes is still here. What's new is the support team behind it and the active development plan going forward.

If you have any questions about the templates or services on offer please contact us.

Why choose us ?

1. Our templates are maintained to current Joomla standards — Bootstrap 5, semantic HTML, modern CSS — so the designs look right on phones, tablets, and desktops and stay compatible as Joomla itself moves forward. Now that Cybersalt has acquired Energize Themes, we're actively updating the catalog to those standards. Some templates haven't been brought up to date yet, but we're working on it. If you're using an older template that hasn't been updated, contact us and we'll move it to the front of the list.
2. Our catalog covers business sites, online stores, community portals, blogs, and portfolios — picked to match the kinds of Joomla sites people actually build. Browse the template gallery to see designs in action before you commit.
3. Our templates work for experienced developers and for site owners who've never touched a Joomla install. Install, swap in your content, and you've got a working site — no template-customization PhD required.
4. Every template ships with the layout structure, module positions, and built-in customization options you need to put together a complete site — not just a homepage skin. The work of making the design functional is already done; you focus on your content.
5. When you buy from Energize Themes you get more than a download — you get a real person on the other end of an email. Cybersalt has been answering Joomla questions since 2005, and that's the same crew supporting the Energize Themes catalog now. Stuck on something? Drop us a line and we'll help you sort it out.
6. Energize Themes has been keeping Joomla templates affordable since the catalog launched in 2005. In an industry where some providers have stopped selling individual templates and forced people into subscription clubs, we still sell single templates outright. You can find cheaper templates elsewhere — but they don't come with the support we put behind our product.
7. We license templates the old-fashioned way: one fee, one license, use it forever. You can modify what you've bought to fit your project, footer credit and all. The Terms of Service spell out the full picture — but the short version is "buy it, customize it, use it as long as you need it."

If you have any questions about the templates we have designed at the website or services we offer please read the FAQ's or contact us
