This guide shows you how to install and set up the Various Joomla template.

Current release: Various 6.2.0, released 23 October 2026. Built for Joomla 6 (6.0 or later). PHP 8.3 or later. Quickstart: Joomla 6.2.0. What changed in each release.

Before you start

Please read the Terms of Service, which you agreed to when you bought the template. If you need help with the template, open a support ticket. For help with Joomla itself, try the Joomla documentation or the Joomla forum.

What's in the download

  • Template package, the file whose name starts pkg_various, in the Template Files folder. Use this on a Joomla 6 site you already have.
  • Quickstart, the file whose name starts various-quickstart, in the quickstart folder. It's a complete Joomla site with the template and demo content. Use this for a new site.
  • The Photoshop file from the original design.

Starting a new site

We recommend the Quickstart, because your site starts as a copy of the demo. Follow our guide to installing a Quickstart.

Adding the template to a site you already have

  1. Log in to your Joomla administrator.
  2. Select System, then Extensions in the Install panel.
  3. On the Upload Package File tab, select Or browse for file and choose the template package. Joomla installs it as soon as you have chosen the file.
  4. Select System, then Site Template Styles.
  5. Tick the box next to Various and select Default.

Module positions

Various has 63 module positions. To see where they sit, go to System, then Site Templates, select Options, switch on Preview Module Positions, then add ?tp=1 to your site's address. Switch it off again when you're done. Read more about module positions.

The template settings

Go to System, then Site Template Styles, and select the Various style. The tabs hold the template's settings, including six ready-made styles, the colours, the slideshow, the testimonials slider, the mega menu, the social links and a place for your own header and footer code.
